It’s Going Down: A Di Bruno Bros. Slider Showdown

Don’t miss Di Bruno Bros. & Deschutes Brewery’s “Slider Showdown”  fundraiser benefitting St. James School Neighborhood Kitchen.

Part of Philly Beer Week, this happy hour tasting extravaganza features the culinary pioneering staff of the five Di Bruno Bros. stores facing-off in a gourmet slider showdown.  Guests will get to taste the teams’ decadent slider recipes and vote on their favorite, while enjoying deliciously-unique accompaniments (yes, there will be plenty of options for vegetarians) and sipping craft beers from Deschutes Brewery.  All proceeds benefit St. James School Neighborhood Kitchen.

Come try five sliders dreamed up by our culinary wizards, and plenty of Deschutes brews… all for a good cause.

About the St. James Neighborhood Kitchen Fundraising Project

“Di Bruno Bros. has been part of the fabric of Philadelphia since 1939, and being one of the founding families of the Philadelphia food community comes with both responsibility and commitment to give back to the city that has supported us for the past 75 years.   That’s why we’ve decided to dedicate our 75th Anniversary to giving back, by partnering with St. James School to build a Neighborhood Kitchen for the school and surrounding community,” said Bill Mignucci Jr., president and third-generation owner of Di Bruno Bros.  “This new kitchen will serve as a Food Resource Center, distributing food and meals to student homes in need, providing fresher and healthier meals for students, and educating the students and the community about cooking and healthy eating.  We’re proud to be part of this important effort.”
